“The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night...” Psalm 121:5-6
As I think for a moment, God provided for everyone in scripture, in the Garden of Eden, on the journey and wandering for the Children of Israel, for His prophets throughout the Bible. He doesn’t keep anything back from one of His own.
The world today wants to have all His provisions without giving Him anything from them. They want what belongs to His children. I see why they have that desire but my friends didn’t expect anything from my parents except what was offered to them. That would have been ridiculous. The world today doesn’t see it as ridiculous. They demand everything they desire.
In scripture, God only provided for His own children. That tells me that today He will continue to provide for us. He knows our needs and He sees what’s ahead so I know He will provide even before I ask Him.
I’m reminded of the stories of Elijah and how God provided shade and shelter for him, so why wouldn’t God provide shelter and shade for us today? He will because He is faithful and Almighty. Know in your heart that those things you need, He will have them for you at the right time so you will not go without.
We don’t even have to worry about natural occurring things like hurricanes, storms, tornadoes and wild fires. God will take care of us. Please don’t ignore His warnings and do what is common sense. Let God provide places of refuge, relaxation, refreshing and rest. There’s isn’t a time day or night that God is not watching out for us and making the necessary provisions. There is never a time in our lives that God is not there with us along our journeys. Why do we fret and worry? Don’t we trust that He will take care of us? Allow God the freedom to work in your life today however He may choose to move and act. Trust His Word and don’t lean on your own understanding. We are smart enough to figure it all out on our own. Simply trust Him!
