You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9
Although we have not laid our human eyes on him in the past and still don’t right now, we rejoice all the same because that is a part of our salvation. We’ve been given the ability to know that one day we will see with our eyes. This is a part of the salvation “experience” that the lost and those who want “tangible” proof before placing trust, miss about their existence on earth.
I have almost always heard, as a reply to the question of, “how much”, the response, “I don’t want to state an amount because if it’s too much you’ll become discouraged and if it’s not enough, you’ll become disinterested.” I’ve also heard the two expressions “seeing is believing” or “believing is seeing.” Either may or may not be actually true but one thing is for sure, we must love Him without seeing Him in physical form – yet.
You know that for some, seeing a physical God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit and Heaven would be too much for some to handle and for others it would still not be good enough.
I encourage you to remember today to choose faith and belief in Him for it will result in a rejoicing of inexpressible and glorious joy and the receipt of the goal of your faith, the salvation of your soul.
- Pray for the ones with no joy in their life.
- Pray for them to get saved.
- Pray for the chance, maybe today, to tell someone why you have such joy.
