“Therefore I will give thanks to You among the nations,
O Lord, And I will sing praises to Your name.” Psalm 18:49
David continues to Praise and give Thanksgiving to God Almighty. He is The Messiah of this World. Thanksgiving isn’t limited to a specific time or place. It isn’t limited to a certain group of people either. Our thanksgiving should continue throughout the generations. Our children and children’s children should see us praising God and giving Him our thanksgiving for all that He’s done in our lives, especially because of His gift of salvation.
Our thanksgiving is a testimony to those around us and for those that follow after us too. We should have gratitude in our hearts for God being all mighty and ever present in our lives. He is the one in control of all the things that take place in this world and we should trust Him and thank Him for what He’s doing in our midst. “For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:5
That the whole world will know of God’s goodness and His faithfulness!! This should be our goal as Christians to allow our thankfulness and praise to spread around the world and continue not just in our life time but forever. What a heritage to leave for those coming behind us, that they would hear our praise and give their hearts and lives to Jesus because of our testimony.
