“I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples;

I will sing praises to You among the nations.” Psalm 57:9

In the midst of everything that David faced especially as Saul pursued him to take his life, God was faithful in protecting him and preserving his life. David wanted to shout from the heavens that God was there with him and faithful all the way. David wasn’t just satisfied with his praise alone, he wanted everyone to join with him and give thanks to God!!

What a great example David gave to each of us to follow. We should live a life of praise and let it be contagious to everyone we come in contact with. There are so many examples in college football games each week where some fans get so excited about their team that they want all those around them to stand up and cheer too. They want the whole stadium to join them.

Are we as excited as those fans when we come into the Worship service each week to sing praises and worship God together. Do we spur each other on to lift the rafters with our praise in the sanctuary?

I CHALLENGE you to encourage others to give praise and thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness every day of our lives. Give God the Praise that He’s due. Let’s see how this attitude will change our worship services!
