“Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.” 1 Chronicles 16:8

When I was growing up, my Mother and Father tried to teach me to say, please, and thank you. To be honest it didn’t always come easy to me. Over time it became second nature. It was simply “good manners.” It sad that people no longer teach manners. People seldom say please and thank you. Perhaps our society has become hardened or self-centered.

How long has it been since you have truly been thankful for all the Lord has done for you? When was the last time that you thanked Him? Beloved, we need to be thankful EVERY day.

Notice that we are to call upon His name. There are situations that arise in our lives in which we struggle. Don’t give-up but call on the name of the Lord. He is our every present help in time of need. He likes for us to pray. We need Him, every day. He often waits until we ask for His help.

Finally, notice that we are to share with others the things that He has done for us. When we share how He has worked in our lives, then He gets the glory. Others get encouraged when they hear that the Lord hears and answers prayer. Never be afraid to share what the Lord has done for you. It might be your testimony that the Lord uses to change the life of another person.

Beloved, give thanks to the Lord, pray and ask Him for help. Then share the miraculous things that He has done. To God be the glory.
