“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Adrian Rogers was said, “Worry is looking at the Lord thru your situation. Faith is looking at your situation thru the Lord.” Beloved, worrying never solved anything. Worrying never helped anyone. In fact, worrying hurts you far more than most people think. Worrying wears you out.

As believers in Jesus we are told not to worry, but to pray instead. When we need help all we need to do is ask for it. If there is something that we need out of our control, we pray about it. We should pray about everything. Paul adds the phrase, “with thanksgiving.” Gratitude should be a regular part of prayer life. Praying in faith believing that God is going to answer our prayer.

The result of this kind of prayer life is “the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds.” Beloved, this is the only way to end worrying. Pray, trust God, and allow Him to guard our hearts (how we feel) and our minds (how we think). His peace passes “all understanding.” That means when we step out in faith, it doesn’t always follow conventional wisdom. God is the God of the amazing. He does miracle after miracle so that the unbelievable becomes reality.

When you pray, trust Him, thank Him, and don’t worry. The Lord is not trying to harm you but to help you.
