“All who are under the yoke as slaves must regard their own masters to be worthy of all respect, so that God’s name and His teaching will not be blasphemed.” I Timothy 6:1
We all fall into the category of having someone in authority over us in our lives. Here in this scripture the word, Master, is often translated lord or ruler. Someone that is over us deserves our respect no matter what the word for them might be. We use like boss, supervisor, leader etc…. The problem with us is when it comes to respect. We might think that since we’re a Christian we don’t owe ungodly leadership above us anything. The ungodly leadership needs to see that we are loyal with our respect because that shows them the character of Jesus Christ. It’s not difficult to honor everyone no matter what your position in life might be. Everyone deserves to be respected. Jesus even said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.
There are many people who call themselves Christians today that are constantly giving a bad witness by their behaviors and attitudes. The world doesn’t see the truth of Jesus Christ because of the characteristics of many who claim to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior is so different from the teachings of Jesus or the Bible. Accountability comes into play here, we much hold ourselves to a higher standard so the World will know Jesus Christ!
Theodore Roosevelt said, “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” or in other words, People care what you know when they can see the INTENT behind what you know. Let your words take action and then people will understand what’s really important to you. Let others be seen as important to you and your life. Walk in such a way that people will realize the change that Jesus Christ has made in you and will give the glory to God!
Pray for those people not working
Pray for those people who are hurting
Pray for those people who are totally isolated and alone
