Wednesday - April 29, 2020 - How to Have True Riches

April 29, 2020 “Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.” I Timothy 6:17

This world will teach you that there is a certain position in this life that you must attain. There is a certain status symbol that we must all run after in this life. That is simply not true. We can find true contentment and happiness in God and in Him alone. Many search for riches and wealth; while others search for things that fulfill the emptiness in their lives. The Bible makes it clear that the void in our lives is a relationship with Jesus and nothing can takes its place and significance in our lives. Satan will tempt us with fleshly desires: the right house, the right clothes, the right education, the right job and the right spouse. I’m reminded of the verse in Matthew 6:33 “seek ye FIRST, His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Our hope and confidence should never be in riches or status but in Jesus Christ alone. Nothing is more uncertain in this world than riches. Look at what’s happening all around now during this time in history. People are scared to death because what they were putting their hope and trust in, is fading away. Jesus still remains! Amen, church? I’m reminded again of a song that we sang in the Lord’s Witness Youth Choir, Jesus is STILL the Answer. Let me share those words to that song because they are still true today:

Some men tried so hard to prove, That God's not really real While others say they know for sure, His love you cannot feel But I know He's real within my soul, For one day He cleansed and made me whole And Jesus is still the answer, for the longing deep in your soul Jesus is still the answer and though time and ages rolls Jesus is still the answer He's the answer for your soul And though some may say He doesn't fit with their philosophy I know Jesus is still the answer He's always been and always will be Some men pretend that things of this world Had brought them peace of mind

But with the dawn of each new day new thrills they try to find But not until they meet the Prince of Peace Can they ever hope To find relief And Jesus is still the answer For a world that’s seeking for peace Jesus is still the answer and though time and ages rolls Jesus is still the answer He's the answer for your soul And though some may say He doesn't fit With their philosophy I know Jesus is still the answer He's always been and always will be.

Pray for People who are mentally hurting Pray for People dealing with cancer and illnesses Pray for People who are lost or out of God’s will
